TeacherReady alumni are eligible for up to 12 credit hours toward an M.Ed. in  Curriculum & Instruction or Exceptional Student Education.

Details of the UWF and TeacherReady partnership:

  • Completers of the TeacherReady program are eligible for credit by proficiency of up to 12 semester hours of coursework required for UWF’s online master’s degree programs in Curriculum & Instruction or Exceptional Student Education.
  • After receiving credit for completion of TeacherReady, the remaining coursework required for the UWF master’s degree program may be completed in four semesters if the individual attends half-time (two courses per semester); the eligible programs are offered completely online.

The M.A. in Exceptional Student Education is a comprehensive program. There is a critical shortage of certified teachers, administrators, related professionals, and specialists in many areas of exceptional student education.

The Curriculum and Instruction Comprehensive Master’s Program is part of the NCATE accredited Professional Education Unit, and is designed to develop master teachers who will be prepared for instructional and leadership roles in elementary, middle, reading or secondary education.
