TeacherReady alumni are eligible for up to 6 credit hours toward the M.Ed. in  Curriculum & Instruction or the M.A. Exceptional Student Education at the University of West Florida (UWF).

Details of the UWF and TeacherReady partnership:

Whether you are seeking a degree that fits into your demanding schedule or are currently working as a teacher looking to enhance your skills, University of West Florida’s online master’s programs allow you to further your education at your own pace. Through these two master’s degree options, you can discover how to become one of tomorrow’s leaders in education in a personalized environment.

  • Completers of the TeacherReady program are eligible for credit by proficiency of up to 6 semester hours of coursework required for UWF’s online master’s degree programs in Completers of TeacherReady are eligible to receive 6 credits by proficiency in the M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction or the M.A. in Exceptional Student Education/Special and Alternative Education (not applicable to the Applied Behavior Analysis specialization) plus scholarship funding.
  • Students must begin the master’s degree program within one year of completing TeacherReady in order to be eligible to receive any credits by proficiency.
  • After receiving credit for completion of TeacherReady, the remaining coursework required for the UWF master’s degree program may be completed in four to five semesters if the individual attends full-time (two courses per semester).
  • The credits by proficiency are not applied to the student’s record until the semester of graduation.

The M.A. in Exceptional Student Education at UWF produces teachers, administrators, related professionals and specialists in many areas of exceptional student education. The cohorts begins each semester, so you can earn your degree quickly and pursue advancement in your field. One-on-one advising, comprehensive curriculum and certified quality education from this program will provide you with the experience you need to succeed.

Note: TeacherReady completers are only eligible for credits by proficiency in the specialization in Special & Alternative Education and not in Applied Behavior Analysis.
