University of West Florida
TeacherReady is the state of Florida approved Educator Preparation Institute of the NCATE accredited Professional Education Unit at the University of West Florida. At the completion of TeacherReady, you can transfer up to 6 hours to the University of West Florida’s comprehensive master’s program.
- TeacherReady program completers are eligible for credit by proficiency of up to 6 semester house of coursework required for one of UWF’s online master’s degree programs: Curriculum & Instruction or Exceptional Student Education.
- UWF will also scholarship 6 semester hours of coursework required for either online program during the student’s final semester. Students must enroll in one of the programs within the first 12 months of their TeacherReady Online Teacher Certification completion.
- You must apply separately to the UWF master’s program and to TeacherReady. More about the UWF application instructions are available at: http://uwf.edu/education/masters_admissions.cfm.
- After receiving credit for completion of TeacherReady, the remaining coursework required for the UWF master’s degree program may be completed in four semesters if you attend half-time (two courses per semester); the eligible programs are offered completely online.
