Whitney PattersonStudent Success Coach

Whitney serves as a Student Success Associate and leads the Orientation Lesson for the TeacherReady Program. She connects with students early on in their TeacherReady journey and remains with them as a resource to keep them on track, answer questions, and overcome barriers to graduation. Whitney also supports program graduates through her work on the TeacherReady Alumni Network. In addition to supporting Alumni, she also supports current and future TeacherReady students by designing engaging student content and offering support across the various TeacherReady social media pages.

She received her bachelor’s degree from Liberty University in psychology and counseling and is currently working towards earning her master’s in learning experience design and educational technology with a dual focus on K-12 learning and corporate training. Before joining the TeacherReady team, she worked at a local outpatient cognitive behavioral therapy facility that served veterans, young children, and adults struggling with mental health disorders. During her career, she has served in a variety of fields including management and training, counseling, photography and creative content design, and service excellence. Whitney is an active member of the worldwide organizations: Women in Technology, the American Psychological Foundation, and Girls in Technology. She is passionate about helping student candidates achieve their dreams of becoming certified educators and inspiring, engaging, and changing the lives of their current and future students.

On a personal note, Whitney currently lives in Pensacola, Florida, where she can be found in her free time reading a good book, roaming downtown with her camera, or on the soccer field with her son.
