Dr. McBride is a native Pensacolian who retired after 35 years with the Escambia County School District. She taught first through fifth grades, was a Primary Resource teacher, as well as a Curriculum Coordinator. For the last 20 years in the district she served as an elementary principal. In 1983, she began serving the University of West Florida as an adjunct professor and worked there for 10 years full-time after retiring from the school district. She was an instructor in the Educational Leadership Department and served as the program coordinator for several years.
Dr. McBride has been married for 47 years to Ed McBride and they have two children, three grandchildren and a peekapoo. She enjoys reading, bream fishing, and travel. Her passions are family, education, reading and people. She is thrilled to be working with the TeacherReady team.
