Bio and Teacher Training:
Currently, I hold certifications in Elementary Education, Reading Education, School Principal, and Educational Leadership. I have served as an Elementary School Teacher, Reading Coach, Reading First Grant Coordinator, Research Associate/University Instructor, Professional Development Trainer, and Assistant Principal. As the Reading First Grant Coordinator, I served as a resource for students, teachers, and parents in 13 Title One schools. Most of my work has been in reading where I have presented and co-presented at district, state, and international conferences. Additionally, I have received Certificates of Recognition in Academic Achievement and Leadership in reading education. Other accomplishments I have fulfilled include facilitation of Reading Endorsement courses and serving on the Florida Teacher Certification Examination Competency Board for reading education. Serving as a Professional Development Protocol Reviewer for the State of Florida and an AdvancED External Review member, I have conducted interviews, collected, reviewed, and summarized data to make judgments on the protocol standards of school districts across the country. As a Teacher on Special Assignment for Professional Learning, I provided leadership in information gathering and implementation of professional development resources for administrators and teachers. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Principal at an elementary school. I am married with two children and we LOVE to travel.

Some of my community involvement includes being recognized as a 2013 Rising Star in Pensacola, FL. This recognition is given to rising professionals in the area under the age of 35.
