Bio and Teacher Training:

Welcome! I currently serve as one of the Lesson 6 and Lesson 7 instructors. I began my teaching career as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher in 1991. I entered the public school system in 1998, as an Elementary Teacher. The majority of my time at the school level was spent in schools with a high poverty rate and high ESOL population. I served in the capacity of classroom teacher (grades PK-6), Early Intervention Specialist, Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal. At the district level I have served as the Elementary Mathematics Coordinator and currently serve as the Early Childhood Education Coordinator. I love working with the students in Lesson 6 and 7 as they share their reflections and assignments for each module. It brings me great excitement and joy when I am able to share additional strategies, ideas, and research with my students. Promoting best practices in the classroom with our future leaders is a passion and privilege that I enjoy daily as I, myself, am a lifelong learner.
