Karyn M. CombsAdmissions Analyst

Karyn  has an Education Doctorate degree in Administration and Supervision from Nova Southeastern University, a Master’s Degree in Education and Curriculum  from California State University, East Bay and a Bachelors in Art and a Minor in Sociology from Dominican University.  Karyn began her teaching career in Oakland, California in 1976 and recently retired as a School Principal on June 30, 2015.  Most noteworthy, Karyn was recently inducted into the Okaloosa Women’s Hall of Fame in August 2017 for her contributions in education, her endless work as a community activist, and serving over 24 years in the United Air Force Reserve and deploying to Iraq as the Equal Opportunity Director for over 10,000 Air Force Personnel in 2008.  Karyn’s a co-author with her father of the “African American Quiz Book for All Americans,” published in 2006.  She also has two lovely adult children.  

Karyn is currently working at Studer Education-TeacherReady, as an Admissions and Field Placement Advisor.
