Waldorf University (WU) is a private liberal arts school located in Forest City, Iowa. For more than 100 years, Waldorf has provided continuous academic excellence and civic outreach in and around the Forest City community.

Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, Waldorf provides students with a well-rounded understanding of their chosen field through industry best practices and emerging trends. Waldorf has one of the most affordable tuition rates in Iowa and across the United States.

With flexible online courses, Waldorf University allows students to schedule classes around their busy schedule. Waldorf offers an online Master of Education that encourages teachers to pursue lifelong learning, enhancing their teaching credentials for themselves and for their students. The M. Ed program has two concentrations: Leadership and Teaching and Learning.

With this new partnership, the Master of Education degree at WU is a perfect complement to the TeacherReady program as our students can now earn master’s credits.

“I am so excited that TeacherReady is partnering with Waldorf University,” says Dr. Sarah Miller, TeacherReady Director of Partnerships and Student Support Services. “This partnership offers our students 15 credit hours towards a M. Ed with a concentration in Teaching and Learning and 12 credit hours towards a M. Ed with a concentration in Leadership. This partnership will enrich our master’s opportunities for our graduates.”

The M. ED program at Waldorf is designed to help you grow your potential in education while keeping your classroom a top priority. This degree program is fitting for educators interested in pursuing careers as community education specialists, lead teachers and curriculum specialists.

“We are extremely excited about our collaboration with TeacherReady. This phenomenal partnership will provide graduate credits to students who successfully complete TeacherReady,” says WU Program Director, Graduate Education Dr. Freda Barnett-Braddock. “Completing the M.Ed. holds many potential benefits while increasing one’s marketability in the job arena.
