Alternative Teacher
Certification Program
TeacherReady® is an online alternative teacher certification program. TeacherReady is the state-approved Educator Preparation Institute of the University of West Florida’s
NCATE accredited Professional Education Unit. Teacher Candidates will learn valuable
theoretical and conceptual knowledge of teaching and have an opportunity to apply
this knowledge in the classroom through field experiences.
TeacherReady® accepts applications year-round. Applications received are reviewed for pre-acceptance within a week of submission.

Application Process for Admission to the TeacherReady® Program
Once your application, transcripts, and application fee have been received, your application packet will be reviewed for final acceptance. Upon final review, formal acceptance letters will be sent via email. The acceptance letter will include the additional steps that must be completed before the start of the cohort.
