10 Reasons to Teach: Pay it Forward

1. Pay it ForwardPay it Forward Largue

Pay it Forward. “I became a teacher because of my 11th grade American History teacher who worked to make us think she was crazy,” says Dr. Robin Largue. “She marched as the British marched on Breed’s Hill and played the National Anthem with the birth of the nation. Her class was all the misfits who should have been on the honor-roll, but weren’t. She refused to allow us to fail.”

For 12 years, she brought the same one-of-a-kind teaching style and love for learning to her history classroom, before becoming a high school principal for nearly three decades. Dr. Largue is the co-author of the book, How to Lead Teachers to Become Great, and has developed many face-to-face and online learning modules for leaders, aspiring leaders, and teachers.

Today, Dr. Largue makes an impact in the lives of students all across the nation as a Coach Leader to superintendents, district, and school leaders. It all started in admiration of a teacher.
