One of the requirements for earning a professional teaching certificate in the State of Florida is successfully passing the three Florida Teacher Certification Examinations or FTCEs. We often receive requests for resources and assistance from future teachers preparing for the FTCEs. Although we do not endorse any resources, below is a brief selection of FTCEs Resources, Workshops, and Video Courses that some of our TeacherReady teachers have found helpful.
Learn the appropriate competences and skills for the exams you plan to take from the Competencies and Skills Required for Teacher Certification in Florida, http://www.fldoe.org/asp/ftce/ftcecomp.asp.
The University of West Florida’s Library hosts the following general resources on their site, and guides in the School of Education’s Curriculum Library for individuals in Pensacola or the surrounding area. More information on their resources are here: http://libguides.uwf.edu/c.php?g=401648&p=2731929.
The Learning Liaisons® offer online FTCE Workshops and Video Courses. Visit their website for their online schedule, to gain access to recently recorded workshops and prep resources, and to learn about discounts (e.g., promo code PREPLANNING will save folks 20% through August 7th).
