Julie Williams holds a masters degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and a bachelor’s degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Elementary Education. Mrs. Williams is certified in elementary education, educational leadership, and is a certified school principal. Mrs. Williams has extensive experience in the area of professional development and new teacher induction. Mrs. Williams presently serves as an assistant principal at SouthTech Academy Charter School in Boyton Beach, Florida. Prior to her role as an assistant principal, Mrs. Williams held the position of Alternative Certfication Coordinator and Clincial Education Coordinator in the School District of Palm Beach County. Mrs. Williams also served as the co-lead for the Palm Beach County New Teacher Center where she supported the growth and development of seven full-release mentors as they supported new teachers in their first and second years, placed in the highest need schools. Mrs. Williams is a Florida Professional Development Evaluation Protocol Reviewer and has worked to ensure compliance with district, state, and national standards. Mrs. Williams has served on several grant writing teams and has helped to earn her district over 5 million dollars in funding for new teacher induction programs and the evaluation of these programs. Additionally, Mrs. Williams was a member of the initial team that worked to roll-out the Marzano Teacher Evaluation System in the School District of Palm Beach County. As a result of her work, Mrs. Williams was invited to participate in a panel discussion at the first annual Marzano Conference to discuss the evaluation of non-classroom, instructional personnel such as full-release mentor teachers.
