Jan Palmer Cudd
Jan Palmer Cudd served as an educator in Mobile and Baldwin County School Systems in Alabama for the past 37 years. She has served education as a regular classroom teacher, special education teacher, assistant principal and principal. Her last position was principal at Daphne Elementary School from 1997 to 2012 . She holds Alabama teaching certificates for elementary education, special education and administration. Mrs. Cudd has held state offices in Alabama Alpha Delta Kappa. She has served as state sergeant-at-arms, state president-elect, state president, and past state president. She currently serves on the advisory council for Alabama Alpha Delta Kappa. Mrs. Cudd has served as a Board of Directors for the Council of Leaders of Alabama Schools and also on the executive board for the Alabama Association of Elementary School Principals. She has served as state vice president, president-elect, and president. Mrs. Cudd feels strongly that the success of the children depends on high-expectations. Children learn best when they are in a learning environment that has been shaped by developmentally appropriate practices to prepare them for this fast-changing and complex world.
