TeacherReady is the state of Florida approved Educator Preparation Institute of the NCATE accredited Professional Education Unit at the University of West Florida. At the completion of TeacherReady, individuals may transfer 12 hours to the University of West Florida’s comprehensive master’s program. Details of the UWF and TeacherReady partnership:

  • Completers of the TeacherReady program are eligible for credit by proficiency of 12 semester hours of coursework required for UWF’s online master’s degree programs in Curriculum & Instruction or Exceptional Student Education.
  • Individuals must apply separately to the UWF master’s program and to TeacherReady. More about the UWF application instructions are available at: http://uwf.edu/education/masters_admissions.cfm.
  • After receiving credit for completion of TeacherReady, the remaining coursework required for the UWF master’s degree program may be completed in four semesters if the individual attends half-time (two courses per semester); the eligible programs are offered completely online.
