Instructor: Russ Yocum, Ed.D.
Russ Yocum has a B.A. in Psychology, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, an Ed.S. in Educational Leadership, and an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (Diversity Studies). Dr. Yocum has 10 years of educational experience in a variety of settings including as an instructor while in the United States Air Force, substitute teacher, Title I Classroom Assistant and a Certified K-6 Teacher. Dr. Yocum has served as grade level chairperson, literacy committee chairperson, and a resource teacher. In addition, he has received the honor of being named School Rookie of the Year (2006-07) and the Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Quarter (2007). He also chaired the team which won the Florida Region 1 Elementary Reading Leadership Team of the Year (2007-08), and he was co-winner of the International Space Station Name-the-Node 2 NASA Learning Challenge (2007).
